Well i've always been a big fan of Games Workshop and i started collecting their minis when i was around 11-12 years old but never really enjoyed painting them. Then after a short while i stopped collecting and went off to university and studied, but found i had more and more time as i progressed through education. In my final years of my PhD i started to pick up painting again and i've been doing it ever since, on and off. I love learning new techniques and having cool models to use. My one policy is i refuse to play with any unpainted models, hence why i play so little and paint so much now.

Ok now for a model which i have been meaning to paint for a while. I got him at Salute09 and it's an awesome sculpt and the quality is good. I had alot of fun working on this guy. I think i might need a bit more work to clean up bits but in general im happy with this guy. Comments and crits always welcome.

Well as a little piece and for a competition i painted a goblin hero from avatars of war range. The models are so detailed and this was rather nice to paint aswell. Took me about 3-4 days and i kept the base quite simple so i could integrate him into my night goblin army as a hero or champion. Anyway here are the pics:

Well finally i've managed to finish working on my last model for my tsons army. 1500 pts all painted up (will take pics soon of whole army). The dread was a fun piece to do and my first FW model. I wanted to test myself with both my blending and my NMM and i came up with this little thing, took me close to three weeks worth of painting (after work of course). Im happy and proud of both this model and the whole army. Comments and crits are always welcome.

It has been a while since i've worked with metallics and i need to definately work more with my contrast with it in general. After using NMM for so long my metallics look a little flat and maybe i need to introduce more use of inks and washes to the metallic surfaces. One other hindrance i've had is that since you know im lazy at taking photos and in general mine aren't the greatest but taking pics of metallics is even more difficult i have found.

I wanted to keep the model quite dull and not too shiney and bright so i tried to tone down alot of my highlights. Im fairly happy with the model in general and i think in the future i might experiment more with metallic paints.

Well i wanted a complete change from all the painting i've been doing so i decided to paint a model i wanted to do for a long time. I might even enter it in for Salute 09 but i am extremely happy with the results thus far. Comments and criticisms are very welcome.
