"She's built like a steakhouse, but she handles like a bistro"

I've been painting since about 1998, mainly 40k but I've been more some variety lately. I don't game as much as I'd like, and I don't paint as much as I'd like either. I make up for this by purchasing way more models than I ought to.

I make an effort to try new things once in a while, and my recent gimmick is finishing a major army project (an entire Battle Company of Marines + extras). Hopefully this one works out...

Road trip weekend!

Should be a wicked fun weekend. Tom (phesmic) and myself are driving down to Blackfalds to visit the legendary Glyn "Zaphod" Evans. He's so hip he has trouble seeing over his pelvis!

Should be good times, we'll be judging a GROTS painting contest followed by some combination of guitars, alcohol and paint brushes. I'm looking forward to it, that's for sure. I might use the time to finish the Fallen Angel model I've had WIP for ages... the Sisters are already getting enough attention and I don't want to have to haul that much stuff to keep making cool bases for them. A couple massive trays of bitz and a dozen sprues just don't travel well.
