"She's built like a steakhouse, but she handles like a bistro"

I've been painting since about 1998, mainly 40k but I've been more some variety lately. I don't game as much as I'd like, and I don't paint as much as I'd like either. I make up for this by purchasing way more models than I ought to.

I make an effort to try new things once in a while, and my recent gimmick is finishing a major army project (an entire Battle Company of Marines + extras). Hopefully this one works out...

You know you've been painting a long time when...

After a marathon painting session this evening, my tongue's turned a lovely shade of green/brown/black. I'm a proud brushlicker, and I did a lot of work tonight :-D My main entry for GD Toronto (which will be revealed in a few days when it's finished) is probably about half done at this point. The scenic base is done, the skin, nails/teeth, and some of the cloth is done too. Not bad at all for a single day's work. I'm hoping he'll be done by Thursday night. I usually don't make deadlines I post on blogs, but since I leave next Wednesday morning I kinda have to now!

Check back for updates as I scramble to get entries figured out and finished for next week!

I hope you don't use Foundation paints - they taste awful :)

I don't use many of them, they do taste funny. They make your lips/tongue numb after a while as well, which is NOT cool. P3's are pretty decent tasting though, not as good as classic Citadel but nothing beats the vintage stock.
