"She's built like a steakhouse, but she handles like a bistro"

I've been painting since about 1998, mainly 40k but I've been more some variety lately. I don't game as much as I'd like, and I don't paint as much as I'd like either. I make up for this by purchasing way more models than I ought to.

I make an effort to try new things once in a while, and my recent gimmick is finishing a major army project (an entire Battle Company of Marines + extras). Hopefully this one works out...

This is my current photo setup, 3 full spectrum fluorescent lights and a blue-white gradient background. I have the materials for a light tent proper, but I haven't bothered to make one yet. This setup provides plenty of light, great shadow reduction and with the sheer amount of light I don't need a tripod for the macro shots. Maybe when I have more free time (Christmas break perhaps) I'll try out the more "professional" lighting rig.
The work so far, most of the units are finished or nearly finished, with the exception of the Eternal Guard which were sprayed black very recently.
Why, oh why, do they have to read my mind and make me want to spend a ton of money that I really shouldn't spend?
