About the author

blackfly:
15+ year figure painter. Still an occasional gamer.

I paint largely for my own collection - lots of Dark Ages troops and Feudal Japanese of late.

I also paint figures that strike my fancy for sale, and take comissions.

I will no longer be blogging on the archaic and annoying coolminiornot system. I have moved the blog to http://blog.madponies.net via blogger.com which is far more user friendly. I'll miss the random comments I got from people who saw my posts via the CMON sidebar, but if you've ever enjoyed looking at my stuff, why not come along and subscribe to the RSS feed at new place? I'll still be posting finished work to my cmon gallery, but current project logs, WIPs, etc, will now be over there...

Well actually that was finished because the recipient's birthday is this week, so it seemed timely to get it wrapped up. Proper pictures will follow tonight. My Empire forces got to trot out to a lopside (1100 vs 1400) battle this weekend and snatched a victory from the Dogs of War in our fledgling campaign. No newly painted units were fielded for either army, though my Rebellion archers continue to show up in 100% of the games I've played since they were painted. Here is a look at the battle field and the forces arrayed against me:...
