Well i've always been a big fan of Games Workshop and i started collecting their minis when i was around 11-12 years old but never really enjoyed painting them. Then after a short while i stopped collecting and went off to university and studied, but found i had more and more time as i progressed through education. In my final years of my PhD i started to pick up painting again and i've been doing it ever since, on and off. I love learning new techniques and having cool models to use. My one policy is i refuse to play with any unpainted models, hence why i play so little and paint so much now.

A touch of green and blue for some colour offset. Im really happy with how it all looks the rippers look great, and i will be doing a step by step of my carnifex .. well kinda.

Khador 02

Well here is an update on my painting. I wanted to do something with a bit more colour than my Cryx, so i decided to work on my Khador models. After i finished doing the red highlights i wanted to do something with the large areas to make the model seem a bit more interesting so i added some freehand lettering on the shoulder areas. I particularly like the contrast of colours between the main colours and the base. So my juggernaut is done but my photography skills still suck so much, I also painted Sorscha but i think i can do better with the face. The photos dont do her any justice i need to figure out some how to take brighter pics. But both models were fun to paint. Not too many more to finish all my warmachine models but my motivation for my 40k has come back and i will be working on them soon....

WIP - Thousand Sons 02

Well after a long long time of not painting anything to do with my 40k i finally got remotivated by a good friend of mine starting painting again. So i finished painting the model, im very happy with how he turned out but i think i will look more into painting tortured or screaming faces on the blue parts of the armour for something a bit more elaborate and i want something to test my free hand work. Im also wondering whether i should have done a stronger OSL from the purple stuff on the base. Anyway here is the completed model:...

Cryx 15

Ok so i've been busy again painting in my free time after a nice brisk jog in the heat last couple days. Im really happy with the way i've painted the arms they match up well with the model. I looked at the model and i wanted some other colours to break up the model a little, so i painted some of the corrugated piping on the model in a blue sort of energy feel to them. I haven't done any OSL on the model yet since im still trying to decide whether i like it or not on these models. I want to add some rust effects to the model but im not sure if i will yet. The runes on the main armour plate were quite fun to paint but they didnt show up well on the model. I have ordered a light tent with 2 lamps so i should be able to take some decent photos once that comes in and i will post them. Anyway comments and criticisms are very welcome. :D...
