  1. Dark Vengeance (Limited Ed.) - The Unboxing

After many nights of ogling at pictures of the Dark Vengeance miniatures on the Games Workshop site, I finally got my hands on the Limited Ed. boxed set!

The box itself has a nice finishing and looks really polished.

    The contents include:
    48 miniatures + 1 Limited mini
Dice, Bases, Templates and Range Finders
    Quick Reference Sheet, ...
  2. Cabal of the Whispering Abyss

  3. So here we go...

I've tinkered with miniature painting a bit over the past few years. I had only finished two and I just stripped them... but not before taking pictures of them. I plan on repainting them to see if any of the methods of painting I've read about will work better.

Actually I just looked over and seen a third that I finished. It wasn't a very detailed model and not many colors. I might strip it too.

The two models I just stripped are from the Reaper Learn to Paint Kit - ...

  5. 35mm Braavosi

So, as many of you may already know, things start from a wire armature. In this case, it is very important to me that the character could be recognized not just by his face, but the whole body also. Posture is an essential component of the miniature expression, so after some research, I found this stance to be quite representative of the dance teacher:

I proceeded by adding some basic volumes with a mix of apoxie ...

  7. Just Getting Started

Amazing as it sounds, I have actually been into the construction/converting side of minis for quite a few years. But owning two warhammer 40,000 armies that have barely any primer on them as well as starting to collect more, I have decided to start biting into my huge backlog of things that need painting.

So this is more or less a little way for me to both track my progress & motivate myself.

Heres whats on the chopping block to get to.

    Warhammer 40k
  8. Zombicide - miniatures painting - work in progress

My first time back to miniature painting for ten years ... looking forward to eventually having a full Zombicide gaming set painted up.

This is after washing, priming and starting base coating. No trimming, I decided to leave all the zombies as they came out of the mold. I will trim the player pieces once I start to get more confidence in the painting.

I have a new set of paints (Vallejo Model paint set) and I have decided to experiment with the different colors ...
