  1. Equinoxical

Round the horn! Here's to the demise of winter for one more year. To celebrate, I finished the Elf on Stag. Well actually that was finished because the recipient's birthday is this week, so it seemed timely to get it wrapped up. Proper pictures will follow tonight. My Empire forces got to trot out to a lopside (1100 vs 1400) battle this weekend and snatched a victory from the Dogs of War in our fledgling campaign. No newly painted units were fielded for either army, though my Rebellion archers ...
  2. Halftime

It is the time of the half man. Fear his dimmunitive stature and his shortened stride.

    Building a mordheim gang. :-)
  3. Arrrgggg!!!

I have my tomb king done - I love the way he turned out. The only problem I have is that I can't get the guy to stand up! I've used super glue and it isn't doing a thing.

  4. Nurgle Cavalry

Ok, my second regiment of chaos warriors are done (except for the bases) and i have begun on my next regiment of chaos knights. The last ones were devoted to Khorne, and this regiment are a part of the Nurgle dreadhost. I started by priming them with GW skull white, then giving them a wash of Vallejos smokey ink in order to see the details. Not that these horses i'm working with now have that many details, but still, it's good practice for future projects. After the smokey ink wash i mixed vallejos ...
  5. Speed-painted Jedi/Wizard

Slight exaggeration, but the influence on the color scheme is undeniable :-) I made him with the Empire Wizards kit, and he's painted in generic colors to match Shiekh Yadosh and so that I can justify him knowing different spell lores from one game to another. My favorite thing about the model? The fact that I painted him in under 3 hours! 2:53 to be precise, I got bored and timed myself with my iPhone stopwatch.
  6. Dogs of War!

It's been too long since I updated the blog (again). I did a bunch of work on the Chaos army, getting a good chunk of the units finished prior to the tournament in February. I'll be posting pics later on, if you guys saw my project log on Warseer then there's not much new just yet.Anyway a good chunk of our gaming club is from Prince George, and we're driving down there for a tourney this coming weekend. I'm revamping my Dogs of War for the event, and adding some old/new characters and Duelists. ...
  7. Actually, I still paint from time to time :)

Although not nearly as much as I would like lately. This is rather obsolete WIP picture of a nearly dead Boromir. Besides everything else this is my first LOTR mini in about 4 years. Ignore arrows, After taking this picture I realized how much out of scale they are and removed them
  8. What will matter

There will be no more sunrises, no days, no hours or minutes.Near the horizon it is always less bright, while in the region immediately around the sun it is more or less yellow. All the things you collected, whether treasured or forgotten, will pass to someone else. The reason of this is that near the horizon we look through a very great thickness of the lower atmosphere, which is full of the larger dust particles reflecting white light, and this diluter the pure blue of the higher atmosphere seen ...

  9. The Window

Every afternoon when the man in the bed by the window could sit up, he would pass the time by describing to his roommate all the things he could see outside the window.was the most celebrated troublemaker in his town. The man in the other bed began to live for those one-hour periods where his world would be broadened and enlivened by all the activity and color of the world outside.Teachers literally cringed when they saw his name posted on their classroom lists for the next semester. The window ...

  10. Did The Earth Move For You

she was unable to walk and her movement was restricted in other ways as well.My dog, Tippy, ran past me. the doctors did not hold out much hope of her ever recovering from this illness. What’s your big hurry. They predicted she'd spend the rest of her life in a wheelchair. I wondered, annoyed. They said that few, if any, were able to come back to normal after contracting this disease. It wasn’t like he was late for the school bus like I was. the little girl was undaunted. When he got to ...
