  2. Day Six - Legs Finished

Finally finished filling the holes and words ect on the legs... I'm pretty worn out tonight though after a fairly large day at work, so I'll have another look at them tomorrow after Football to make sure it's an okay job... Everything looks okay when your tired... But otherwise these are pretty much completely done. If I'm going to do any more to them I'll decide that when the model is nearly done. I'd like to see how the model is posed and how it looks before I decide what chapter it will be. I'll ...

  4. Day Five - Top of legs Finished

Managed to get the tops of the legs done today. Though it wasn't as productive as I would of liked. I really struggled to get motivated today, probably due to the heavy drinking the night before, as a consequence I didn't get started until nearly 8pm. After I was finished with the legs I started trying to reposition those wonky looking ones but then quickly decided to just buy a new set on ebay. I found myself a nice set of Space Wolf Terminator legs that should hopefully arrive before the end of ...
  5. My Pirate Ogres

The Sea Eater Tribe - This was my first project in about 8 years. I painted a few ogres I got out of storage when moving house and 6 models, a fiddle with some Greenstuff and a little nosey at the GW website and I was hooked again. Being as rusty as I was, it's not the best painted army in the world but I had a lot of fun doing it and it has been well received in GW Bath where it sat in in their cabinet for a good few months.

    Anyways, here it goes....

And the rest - excuse ...

  6. Day Four - Top of legs, side one.

I didn't get them all done as I would of liked but I'm running out of time. I have two more to finish off tomorrow, though the one with wonky looking legs on the back right, I'm not happy with. I've decided that I will reposition them.

For this part all I've done is got a blob of green stuff, rolled it into a thickish tube and placed around the top of the leg. I then smoothed it into shape with one of my clay shapers, making sure to go slightly over where I wanted the armour to end. ...
  7. Day Three - Lower legs done!

Finished off the lower legs tonight. Took me 20 minutes less than last night so either I'm getting better or they're getting shittier. I hope it's not the second one. Either way, here is an updated pic of the legs. Tomorrow after Football I'll get started on the top of the legs. I'll have to run home quickly after my game, do a couple of hours and get back to Football for the last man standing night, should be a good night, but means I'll be working with a hang-over on Sunday... Ughhh... Not looking ...
  8. Day Two - Bottom of legs, side 1...

So didn't manage to get both sides done, though just getting the first side of all the legs took me two hours. I figure I'm best off waiting for it to fully cure before starting another part anyway, knowing my luck I'd put my finger in a finished part and have to fix it up.

The trick to getting it real flush with the shin guard is piling extra green stuff over the edge and cutting it off slowly with your blade. Make sure you hobby tools are lubed up nicely so you get a nice smooth ...
  9. True Scale Deathwatch

So I've pretty much finished my first two True Scale Deathwatch models (the one on the left my first and the right one my almost finished second) and I feel confident enough to start to mass produce the remaining 8 troops. My struggles and triumphs along the way will be posted here for everyone to see.

The idea of this blog is to act as a Diary through the process of creating my Deathwatch Army. Each Day I will do my best to post something here and hopefully I can make my deadline. ...
  10. Changes afoot

Well after some tips on the forums etc, i have changed my design a bit.

The farseer is now facing the other way round, with the cloak blowing away from the force of the lightning, i also re did the hand more upright and splayed.

The librarian is a totally new figure, using the arms from the FW model, hopefully this will make the figures more dynamic, throwing some force into the attack\defence.

I am also flattening out the stairs as i was never going ...
