  1. Armies on parade

So I'm on a semi vacation???? I'm actually working my ass off, but i don't have to drive or deal with people face to face. I move next week too, so i thought it best to get started on the Armies on Parade piece I'm doing While i have a little down time. Unfortunately for me i have to go huge with my pieces and while I'm doing the same 2'x2' (approx) as everyone else I feel like I'm just going to far with it. Name: 5.jpg

  3. Starting a blog - Circle orboros

    http://www.puregeek.ca

Hello there! I started a new blog to document my journey into the world of Warmachine and Hordes. This blog will also help me try to improve my English. You may find some grammatical errors and I strongly encourage you to tell me how to correct them. Thanks a lot!

    Getting into Hordes

I finally could not resist buying one of the all in one army box. I'm already far behind painting both my Khador and Cygnar armies, but these boxes

So, I'm going to start this blog, hopefully this will force me to be more productive in my modeling and painting.

First a little bit about me. I'm fairly new to the world of miniatures and have lots to learn ( i have a feeling most of this blog will end up being about me trying new things, more then finished nice projects) I've always like modeling since i was younger, I grew up with those snap together kits and the glue ones that in the hands of a 10 year old always get f#%$ed up, ...

  8. Journey through the void known as miniatures.

Hi, and you guessed right this will be my thoughts, concerns, and various other things concerning my journey into the world of miniatures. I don't know why I have chosen this medium per say, but it seems like a great place to walk through and smell the roses, after years of building/painting Gundam kits. I have tried painting minis only using a brush, and I got nice results most of the time. Not as nice as I would like it to be but close enough for now. Recently I found my airbrushing kit, that ...

  9. Road to Crystal Brush: Origins 2014

Origins was this past weekend and with it the Road To Crystal Brush as well. For me, it was an exciting convention because I got to have my first go as a judge for a miniature painting contest, the Crystal Brush.

I have been spending the last several months studying under the amazing Jen Haley learning how to be a better painter and also what to look for in a competition piece. Not only is this a lot of fun, but I get to put my art degree and painting knowledge ...

For my first blog post, (since I should get in the habit of rambling) I've decided it should be a brief introduction about myself and what I do. For those of you that don't know me, I am Elizabeth Beckley, and I am a full time professional miniature painter. Yes, this is what I do to pay the bills and I love it! I have currently been painting professionally for a year and a half and currently work in-house at CoolminiorNot as a studio painter. I also do freelance ...
