  1. Warpwolf Stalker part 2

    http://www.puregeek.ca

Well it's been a while since my last post because I've been busy working on a side project related to Warmachine that I will talk about in the future. I've also been reading some books on color theory just to educate myself a bit and help me understand how to mix color.

Anyway, I almost finished my Stalker. The base and the final varnish are not done yet.

I tried to take better pictures using a small booth and some better lightning. I ...
  2. Coming back to it and...

I've got a backlog to show for it. It's really starting to look more and more unsermountable. Been busy at work and with the girlfriend, on top of that I've just been feeling down and not getting much done at all.
My current projects are now (in no real order)
Black templar army (as fluffy as possible)
the beginings of my "dark taudar" tau army with costom Gue'vesa unit(s)
Brandy motor maiden from miniature factory
and I just bought two takoashi university models from ...
  3. Painting the Warpwolf Stalker

    http://www.puregeek.ca

    Foreword

I realized that painting is way harder than I expected (blogging in English too) and that I can't aim for perfect blending so soon in my "hobbyist" career. I fully completed maybe 2 models since I started painting almost a year ago. When I painted my first model, I stripped it down 3 times with simple green before I was happy with the way it looked. I have to let go my perfectionism and learn that perfection is only achievable by repetition. I also ...
  4. Deathwatch: Jahi

Another of my latest completed projects is Jahi, one of my characters from the Deathwatch RPG game. He's been customised from some Forgeworld MkIV armour, and his backpack has been magnetised so I can switch it out with a Forgeworld jump pack. The sword has been carved from plasticard, the book at his hip is plasticard and greenstuff, the chain and the Inquisitorial =I= on his belly plate is greenstuff, and the helmet crest is plasticard and greenstuff.

  7. Chapter Master WIP

Another project I'm working on atm - a customised Chapter Master for my pre-Heresy/loyalist Thousand Sons army! I've used plasticard, milliput and greenstuff to modify him.

    Made the book and chain...

... then realised most of it won't be visible anyway. Whoops. XD Oh well. I know it's there, that's the important thing!

  8. Starting a WIP Blog...!

Hello all! I've decided to start a WIP blog here, to hopefully get some feedback on projects as I'm working on them.

To start with, I've recently finished modifying a Space Marines Storm Talon into something a little more aerodynamic looking, and with ALL THE WEAPONS because I am terribly indecisive and magnetising the options was going to be a pain in the ass. XD

Since this will be painted up for my Pre-Heresy Thousand Sons army, I headcanon that this is the precursor ...
  9. Starting a blog - Circle orboros

    http://www.puregeek.ca

Hello there! I started a new blog to document my journey into the world of Warmachine and Hordes. This blog will also help me try to improve my English. You may find some grammatical errors and I strongly encourage you to tell me how to correct them. Thanks a lot!

    Getting into Hordes

I finally could not resist buying one of the all in one army box. I'm already far behind painting both my Khador and Cygnar armies, but these boxes

  10. Starting...

So, I'm going to start this blog, hopefully this will force me to be more productive in my modeling and painting.

First a little bit about me. I'm fairly new to the world of miniatures and have lots to learn ( i have a feeling most of this blog will end up being about me trying new things, more then finished nice projects) I've always like modeling since i was younger, I grew up with those snap together kits and the glue ones that in the hands of a 10 year old always get f#%$ed up, ...
