  1. Heroquestin' (Crow's Blog #2)

Greetings Comrades. After the success of Space Crusade we did indeed find Heroquest stashed away in the back waters of the house. It was good to have a little game, and the basic nature of it meant it was okay for my 6 year old - although he didn't quite get the team work aspect.

So I thought that I'd give these chaos warriors a go - in non-specific colours. I learned quite a bit about the interactions between base coat, inks and highlights.

  3. Arrrggghh, nuke the site from orbit...

    Hello Lovelies

Here is my random blog about little men, monsters and things that go bump in the night, I though this site was about painting, but after a crash course in photography, resizing JPEG's, not using photoshop at all (whats that about) and definitely not airbrushing anything, I hope to be posting pics of my painted miniatures that I use in my games weekly so watch out for little men and monsters on this site, if I can ever work it out, anyway if in any doubt...NUKE THE SITE ...

  4. A Little Back Story/Frivolous Minis (Crow's Blog #1)

Well Comrades, I thought I'd take a moment to write a little side blog over here on CMON. First up, a little back story - I haven't touched a paint brush in years, but I've been in touch with the gaming/lore side of things for a good while. As a fantasy writer, I've always been interested in the world building side of things.

So I'm not a total noob, but on the other hand never developed past a basic stage of painting. This was many years back when I had a job and I kinda went in at

    Hello again!
I finalized my work on Krampus.
I used oil paint and acrlylic varnish for this bust.
I want to thank Muzafer Vaapov, the sculptor!

  10. Assemble before or after painting

As a new painter, many video talk about painting the mini after assembleing. I must admit as a beginner my first inclination was to build first paint later. This can abe an effective way of painting in that you can prime and apply any highlighting techniques such as zenithal highlighting before you add your basecoats. This however can make painting some areas harder to get to than others. This was how my first mini was painted and it was a chore. After watching some videos, tried painting each peice ...
