  1. First go at a gaming table

After watching numerous videos on YouTube, I decided to create a 4x4 gaming table topper for my home. I am learning as I go and have never done anything like this. I would love advice from enthusiasts and hobbyists on better construction materials and ideas for what to do with the wall. I started by building a 1x1 frame.

Then, I covered the frame with corrugated plastic ...

  2. OFFICIAL Games Workshop base sizes for Age of Sigmar conversion table

Finally Games Workshop had published an official list of base sizes for their AoS range of miniatures in their last FAQ, including old Warhammer ones. So I decided to update my previos conversion table, with relations between Age of Sigmar bases and previos Warhammer rectangular bases and sizes, and the adapter/converter from SOLO ediciones to use both without removing neither.
    AND I INCLUDE FORGEWORLD ONES!
Here you are (if not showing, you need to open this post to display the list):

  5. Beginning Miniatures... Again!

Mission:Win an award at a Golden Demon ContestPainting/Converting Skill Status: Ignorantly NewBackground: First, let me start by saying that I am 30 years old. The last time I truly washeavy in to mini's was in high school over 12 years ago. Since then, I joinedthe Army, got married and had three children. Needless to say, the time I coulddedicate to my geek roots was severely diminished. But recently, I came acrossa few battle boxes of Games Workshop minis on the cheap, and it rekindled the fireof ...

  8. Dig Deep Marine!

Gaah! Just had one of those paint session that completely fails to satisfy...you know the one? Just couldn't get my eye to focus in and my brain to engage with what I was doing. Essentially I was suffering a sort of Brechtian Alienation from the Scout Squad I was painting.

Now, as much as I like the miniatures, the ones with the cloaks and sniper rifles, they were picked more out of a sense of requiring an additional cheap troop choice for my DA army. So the squad, born out of necessity ...

  10. Information Overload...

Okay, so I'm pushing on trying to improve.

I'm pretty sure that my most recent mini I've posted is my best yet, but I just can't get my cameraphone to translate the way the eye does.

I did what I reckon most of us do, and started research. Now the problem I've got is I probably know too much! At least enough to know I haven't got a clue.
