This blog is for world domination and my plans on how to amass armies and techniques in order to fulfill this goal. So mortals tremble at my feet and enjoy the progression of my work.
Now, onto the second ork. This guy will be called Ahab, im going to stick with a similar colour scheme throughout the whole gang with blue stripey trousers. Will see about the rest of the colours but blue will be their primary colour. Anyway onto the more interesting part:
For some reason i missed the chain on his back, and so i painted it up last night. Here are some pics of the model with painted chain lol , i tried to brighten up the squig a little but my blood red is unusable so i ended up using the base colour red with bleach bone highlights and then glazing over with red again to bring it back in. ...
So here is my first completed ork they are very fun to paint. Got a couple of other things to paint and then onto the next guy. I should find a suitable name for him too, since this is a pirate crew.
Yarr mateys, so i managed to do some more work on the mini. The progress is good so far and the look and feel of the mini is how i want it to be, which is great. Spent alot of time on the details this time around and lets i hope i can keep this up with the whole crew.
Ok not posted on my blog for a long time, so time for amends. Im a huge fan of pirates .. ok im obssessed, they are just too cool. So as part of a little event on Chest of Colors forum, i joined in the Tale of ? Gamers and started up a little project to do whilst i finish other armies. When maxmini released the ork pirate heads i instantly knew i wanted some ork pirates, but what for? I had been thinking about getting a proper necromunda gang painted up and useable with my friends when i ...
Ok, so just before gamesday i managed to get a copy of space hulk which im dead chuffed about since i played it a few times when i was a kid and loved the game. The models themselves are so well detailed i cracked it open and started painting a couple of the models. The gold and stuff is actually done with a mix of metallic paint and some non-metallic paints, in some areas i think one dominated the other and vice versa but i have enjoyed painting these minis so far. Comments and crits very welcome. ...
Well i have been fairly quiet last few months because i was working on some Gamesday entries. I went to my first GD a couple months ago and managed to get 2 finalist pin badges for my 2 entries. Im happy with the results and the input people have given me. I've definately learnt alot, anyway enough of the boring stuff and onto some piccys (some of these are during the wip stage). Oh and i entered in my thousand sons dreadnought, i redid the base to something a bit fancier than the ...
Ok now for a model which i have been meaning to paint for a while. I got him at Salute09 and it's an awesome sculpt and the quality is good. I had alot of fun working on this guy. I think i might need a bit more work to clean up bits but in general im happy with this guy. Comments and crits always welcome.
Well as a little piece and for a competition i painted a goblin hero from avatars of war range. The models are so detailed and this was rather nice to paint aswell. Took me about 3-4 days and i kept the base quite simple so i could integrate him into my night goblin army as a hero or champion. Anyway here are the pics:
Well finally i've managed to finish working on my last model for my tsons army. 1500 pts all painted up (will take pics soon of whole army). The dread was a fun piece to do and my first FW model. I wanted to test myself with both my blending and my NMM and i came up with this little thing, took me close to three weeks worth of painting (after work of course). Im happy and proud of both this model and the whole army. Comments and crits are always welcome.
