Hey Sis I’m glad the girls from the freak bar made you smile for Xmas & birthday, now “who” could that Boob Flasher be ;) lol .......I can’t say 2007 was all bad for me, just more events happening then I wanted to deal with, but that is Life at Casa Pony. :) Let me guess the boys that slandered Alex were never punished and the principal never apologized to your family either. Your water effects wasn’t all bad, you did learn from it and will do better things from the experience. Donna
Yes, it can be depressing when your health prevents you from doing things you would normally do. I empathise with Mr C. with that. The Alex thing; that must have been a real shock for everyone.I hope it gets resolved quickly and some stern words are spoken to the "reliable source".
Sounds like someone needs a lap top and a wireless connection. Nothing like doing eBay and watching the game at the same time. And I hear you about mindless corporate training. Luckily, a lot of mine are online training, with a test at the end. We can skip directly to the test and as long as we pass legitimately, good for us.
Heya, Liz. I hope it works out for you as planned. Say hi to Wen and give her a big hug from me. When you say Boken, is there some toy called that or do you mean Bokken, the japanese wooden practice swords? That would be dangerous. Can you train the cats to stand guard at your computer time, or if Mr. C. tried to take over, get them to stand on the keyboard?
Congratulations on the competition win, Liz. Also, hello Wen! Any friend of Liz's is a friend of mine. Have a big hug and a kiss from me!
I'm very relieved that your brother is safe right now, there was some good prayer going up the last couple days for the evacuated citizens and their families. Let's hope for more steps in the right direction getting this thing under control. Thank God that so few people have been injured/killed in the fires so far.
Glad to hear it. You must be hugely relieved!
dont worry your head on it liz. almost no one has died and i am sure he made it out but due to the problems they have had i bet even a signal on a cell phone is rough to get. worst case scenario they lose their house, but they will be fine and alive no matter what. anyhow we will be thinking of you guys and prayin for ya and yours. hope it gets better. john
If it is any help check this place http://www.ci.escondido.ca.us/news/index.html#News
I know, i know, any advises at this stage are stupid and pointless but try not to panic. I spend about an hour on the line with two people from UCSD yesterday and the situation is very hectic. As with any large evacuation people will loose connection for several days no matter how well it is organized. From what I 've heard cell phone connection is also very sketchy, apparently several towers were affected. I hope you will hear from him soon just try not dwell on it now, especially if there is nothing you can do.
I'm welling up here. The sentiment is lovely. The mini turned out well. As for the warmachine stuff, sorry, can't help you there. I've only ever seen the minis online and once in the real world; but I was busy with a game of 40k to learn anything. Tracy & family of course will be able to help you there. Glad things seem to be going so well for you and your family at the moment. Long may it continue.
I feel yolur pain liz. I am working on my Rotten Harvest entry now, and I am shocked that it will be done either today or tomorrow. Its so rare that I actually finish a mini, I am celebrating with you as I am a kindred spirit in this regard.
If you have too many minis, no problem,n I'll help you, what are friends for, just send them to me :-DDD sorry, could not resist. But it's true we won't have time to paint all we have and we are all the same: buying more shinny toys all the time. My solution is that I've taken a formal vow that I will not die before I've painted all of my minis. That should mean I'll live a thousand years, and if I'm fed up before that I can always spraypaint them and die in peace. Glad to know the new school is ok, it's sometimes difficult to change fvriends, teachers, habbit, especially for kids. Cheers U.
Glad to hear things are going well for you, and your son at his new school. Unfortunately there just isn't enough time in the day to do everything we would like.
I like autumn, except for the daddy-longlegs (not the same as in the US, these are harless but they're like flying spiders with no sense of direction). It's not too hot or cold and the colours are great (which is why I'll be painting my wood elf army in autumn aspect).
You and me both Liz....... of all the seasons, Fall is the one I Love the most..warm days, crisp nights.....sunset coming earlier. It’s the time that Nature takes to put on her riot of colors and tucking in of her creations for the Winter Sleep. The Horned Lord coming to the end of this years rule. Oh! apple pies and Halloween/Samhain are the “Bomb”!!!!! ;)
ooh, you have one of those new-fangled wireless phones. I point-blank refuse to get one.
My grandfather has alzheimers. It's really hard because he lived at the other end of the country (now we've moved there) so I just saw him in the state he's in now, but the last time I saw him he still had all of his teeth and was perfect mentally. He really likes jazz and (hopefully blues!) so I'm planning on visiting him with my guitar! Good on your for biting your tongue (I think that I may know what this is about!), I'm not good at holding back when I get ticked off. Cheers babycakes ;) Ian
I was woken up about 7 or eight months ago. I got divorced a little over 5 years ago then my ex moved to hawaii with her new Navy Husband. She took my son with her. I went to Iraq. My mother died. My life was going downhill at a high rate of speed. I got out of the Army and was unemployed for five months. It kept getting worse. Then I got the job I have now (technically I am self-employed, and I love it) I work with great people. But the wakeup was this: My ex moved back into my neck of the woods, and I got to see my son every week. My son. He and I have a fantastic relationship, and we have the best times when we are together. He woke me up. Things are never better than when he and I are playing video games together or doing anything else for that matter, and I plan to teach him how to paint minis in the next year or two. My wife (the new and improved model) stated once "He is so much you in miniature form". That was my wakeup.
Well done, Liz! It's always good when you achieve the goals you set yourself, such a confidence boost.
