All the figures i'm currently working on are nearing completion so there may be a new unit in the next update. The death company just need some detailing including eyes and chapter symbols. The chaplain is a little nehind as he has loads more detail and a couple more highlight stages, more on him next time. The roller and blitzer are all but done, I'll be going round and touching up any areas that are a bit bland, nd need to do a couple of the spots where the rider meets the roller. The basing ...

This is my first time participating in this particular event and first time ever participating in Show and competition that involved mainly historic miniature painters. In the end I have mixed feelings about this event but first thing first. The event took place in the Freeport community centers on the Long Island, which is about 30 minutes drive from my house… anywhere closer and it would be in my living room; so this was a big plus. The two main parts of the event – vendors ...
Ok, so just before gamesday i managed to get a copy of space hulk which im dead chuffed about since i played it a few times when i was a kid and loved the game. The models themselves are so well detailed i cracked it open and started painting a couple of the models. The gold and stuff is actually done with a mix of metallic paint and some non-metallic paints, in some areas i think one dominated the other and vice versa but i have enjoyed painting these minis so far. Comments and crits very welcome. ...
Well i have been fairly quiet last few months because i was working on some Gamesday entries. I went to my first GD a couple months ago and managed to get 2 finalist pin badges for my 2 entries. Im happy with the results and the input people have given me. I've definately learnt alot, anyway enough of the boring stuff and onto some piccys (some of these are during the wip stage). Oh and i entered in my thousand sons dreadnought, i redid the base to something a bit fancier than the ...
Just a quick one; heres the pics of the bloodbowl figures as they are. The deathroller pilot is in all black, but I have highlighted the various bits of his kit in different colours. With the aim being to break up the figure whilst still being 'black'. The blitzers mask seems perhaps a little too bright(the red anyway) although that may be the picture. These are the first images using a new lighting set up, and I definitely need an extra light source when I try again.
With a second floor the tower resembles of how it should be in future. Now it's time to cover the cardboard structure with clay and to cut bricks.
Lots of things underway at the moment, sadly nothing completed as yet. First off is the continuing Death Company for the flesh tearers force, the whole squad is up to this stage but the rest were out of focus :P The roller itself is pretty much complete, and the pilot will be, at least comparatively, easy. Now well underway is the Elf Blitzer, part of the same comission and painted in the style of Boba Fett. Still a bit of work to do but I'm quite pleased with the kind of grubby/dusty effect ...
I finally finished everything I wanted to finish on this mini. The bad thing about commission is that you actually have to paint them , the good thing about commissions is that you can experiment and paint things that you wouldn't normally paint. This particular "mini" by the nature of request involved doing substantial amount of coherent freehand that I have never done before. Well, as a confidence building measure it was very useful. ...
