Gathering up resources to spread the hobby to the general public
It's been a long time since I have updated my BLOG. I was busy the last year with the Knights of Columbus and didn't have much time to paint. That's over and now I'm back to painting. During that year I also discovered a social network called Gather. One of the things you can do there is set up groups to discuss specific topics. I created a group called Mini Metal (and Plastic) Men (Women and Monsters). The goal of the group is to show to the general public how wonderful, fascinating, and detailed the minis that are being painted these days.
I am looking for more people to join both Gather and the group and to show non painters and non gamers the art of mini painting. (Because, frankly, I'm not worthy even though they think my stuff is good.)
(Note this is a two way link: I've got the link to CMON as a featured post.)
Meanwhile a few months ago I attended by 25th reunion from R.P.I. (Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute) where I got my BS in physics back in 1983. I still have a few minis I painted back then. Before the state of the institute speech they actually put my college photo on the big screen. So here I am from back in 1983.
